Car Accessories Guide: Inflators, Mounts & Dash Cams

Think about your daily trips, boot space and how you will power each accessory. Useful equipment should fit your routine as well as your car.

Tyre inflators

Check the power source, connector, hose reach, duty cycle and pressure range. Use the recommended pressures for the vehicle and load. An inflator does not make a damaged tyre safe or replace a puncture repair.

Phone mounts

Check the phone and case size, mounting surface and adjustment range. Position the mount clear of your view, controls and airbags. Set navigation before driving.

Boot organisers

Measure the usable boot space and check fastening instructions. Secure heavy luggage separately with suitable restraints.

Dash cameras

Compare the selected package, memory-card requirements and power supply. Check the mounting instructions and keep cables away from controls and airbags. For hardwired installations, use a competent installer when needed.
