Digital download purchases
AutoXpert UK is operated by James Maclachlan, trading as AutoXpert UK, 40 Woodmuir Place, Breich, EH55 8JP, United Kingdom. Contact autoxpertuk@gmail.com for privacy and purchase enquiries. To fulfil a digital order, we process the payment email address, order reference, product and version, price, payment status, terms and immediate-download consent, delivery status and the time a download starts. Our legal bases are performing the purchase contract and meeting applicable record-keeping obligations. Order and consent records are retained for up to six years for accounting, support and disputes; incomplete checkout records and anonymous daily checkout limits are retained for up to 30 days. Hosting backups and provider records may have separate retention periods.
An essential secure browser cookie protects your order in the browser used to pay. A random checkout request reference is also saved in browser storage to resume interrupted requests. These are used for checkout and access security, not advertising. A private email link provides access on another device for 30 days; do not share it. Stripe processes payments and card information, Make transports checkout and verification requests, and Resend delivers order emails. We do not store your full card details or automatically subscribe buyers to marketing. These providers may process data outside the UK using their applicable data-transfer safeguards. You may ask to access, correct or erase personal information, restrict processing or request portability where applicable. Some transaction records must be kept despite an erasure request. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. Digital download terms.
Digital-download source reporting
From 27 October 2026, a broad source label such as Instagram or Facebook may be saved with a new checkout to help us understand which promotions lead to paid orders. It comes from recognised campaign tags or the referring website carried between public pages. It contains no full referral URL, search terms or additional visitor identifier. No extra analytics cookie or browser storage is used. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control prevent source recording. The label is kept with the order record under the retention periods above and appears only in owner-only aggregate sales reports. We do not send this label to Stripe, Make or the email provider. Earlier orders are not retrospectively attributed. Contact us about this processing or to object to source reporting.
Browsing and device storage
The finder uses browser storage for saved product IDs. Optional Google Analytics is only loaded after you allow it. Your analytics preference is saved on this device; you can change it using Analytics preferences in the footer. Clearing site storage removes device favourites.
Optional Google Analytics
If you allow analytics, Google Analytics 4 (G-ZN1LMWFLWS) uses cookies to measure visits and interactions. Google receives device and browser information and processes analytics data under its privacy terms. We send page URLs without query strings or fragments and exclude private order pages. Advertising personalisation and Google signals are disabled. Rejecting analytics prevents the Google tag from loading. Change or withdraw your choice using Analytics preferences in the footer. Website page-view statistics
We count public page loads in daily aggregates, grouped by page path and broad referring source such as Google or Facebook. Reports cover up to 90 days; older aggregates are deleted when a new eligible page view is recorded. We do not store visitor identifiers, IP addresses, query strings, search terms or full referral URLs in these statistics. No analytics cookies or analytics browser storage are used. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals are respected for this collection. Signed-in owner visits and private pages are excluded. Counts are page views, not unique people, and can include repeat or automated activity. Hosting providers may keep separate service logs.
Affiliate source labels
For eBay links, a broad source and page label (for example, Instagram and a buying guide) helps us compare affiliate results. We use recognised campaign source tags or the referring website, and may carry that broad label in links between public pages. We do not include names, email addresses, search terms or visitor identifiers in these labels, and use no additional cookies or browser storage. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control prevent this extra labelling. eBay processes purchases and its own affiliate reporting under its privacy policy.
Optional sign-in
ChatGPT manages sign-in. When you sign in, the site receives an authenticated user ID and email. Your saved product IDs are stored against your site-specific ID so you can access them on another device. Your email is used to identify the catalogue owner. This site does not collect your password.
Click totals
The site records aggregate outbound click events per product. It does not store visitor IP addresses, names or emails in these counters. Totals may include repeat clicks and are not unique visitors, sales or commissions. Hosting and authentication providers may retain their own service logs.
Product photographs
Authorised photographs may be hosted by this site or loaded from the image provider. External image providers receive the request needed to display their image. Image requests use no-referrer settings. No visitor identity or email is placed in these image URLs.
Affiliate destinations
Following a paid link takes you to an external provider such as Amazon, eBay, Carly or OBDeleven. Their privacy, cookie, purchase and account terms apply there. Affiliate IDs in the destination link or a checkout code may attribute qualifying purchases.
Removing your saved data
When signed in, remove all items from Saved to clear the synced shortlist. Clear browser site storage to remove local copies. The shared catalogue and its backups belong to the site owner.
Optional email updates
Email updates are optional. Request them using the signup form and confirm your address using the link sent to your inbox.
If you request AutoXpert UK email updates, we store your email address, signup time, the version of your consent wording, confirmation status and any unsubscribe time. Your signup is separate from ChatGPT sign-in. We only send feature, buying guide and product listing updates after you confirm your email. You can unsubscribe without signing in using the link in an email. Your address is not displayed publicly or shared with other subscribers.
We send a confirmation link when a new signup is requested. Pending requests do not receive update campaigns until confirmed. Confirmation links expire after 30 days. Expired unconfirmed requests are removed when new signups arrive. We use Resend to deliver email; it processes recipient addresses and message contents. Provider acceptance and sending records are retained for administration, and the provider may retain delivery logs. We do not add open tracking pixels.
Unsubscribed records are retained to prevent accidental re-addition. Subscriber and campaign records are included in private owner backups; older backups may retain earlier records. eBay listing search
When you search eBay listings through AutoXpert, we send your search phrase to eBay to retrieve listing titles, pictures and prices. We do not save eBay listing results to our database, image storage or result cache. API credentials stay on our server. Listing images load from eBay’s image service, which receives your IP address and browser request details. Opening a listing uses our eBay affiliate link. Search-result pages are excluded from our aggregate page-view statistics.
Specialist directory
Listings summarise public business information and link to official sources. Finder filters stay in your browser and are not sent to our server. Suggestion, claim and correction buttons open a prepared email to AutoXpert UK; nothing is sent until you send it. We use the details you send to review your request and reply. Requests are not published automatically. Contact autoxpertuk@gmail.com for a listing correction or removal.
Garage Growth enquiries and business orders
We use business contact details, order and invoice details, supplied assets, permissions and approval records to discuss and fulfil Garage Growth orders, manage payment and handle queries or disputes. Contract performance applies where you are the contracting individual; legitimate interests in running and evidencing the business transaction apply to other business contacts, with legal obligations for required records. No enquiry or purchase automatically subscribes you to marketing. Contract and payment evidence is normally kept for up to six years where justified; working files are normally reviewed for deletion after 90 days from handover unless a continuing need is recorded. Access is restricted. Do not send passwords, verification codes, customer lists or unnecessary personal information. Any processing of personal data on behalf of a client requires an agreed lawful arrangement and a processor schedule where required. The service terms explain account access and portfolio permission. Artwork enquiries
The artwork enquiry form prepares an email draft in your browser. Form entries are not uploaded to our server, saved in browser storage or sent automatically. Opening your email app or copying the draft lets you review and send it yourself. Photos can be attached in your email app; no photo upload is provided on the website. We use information you choose to email to discuss your enquiry and reply. An enquiry does not subscribe you to marketing. Owner-only information
Catalogue editing, backup restoration and aggregate click reports are protected by the owner’s sign-in. Other signed-in visitors do not receive those permissions.
